Corian.
Corian is an acrylic solid surface that is cut, bent, joined and sanded into one seamless piece. K.J. Interior makes and fits Corian desks, counters, wall panels and carved art in Bhavnagar.

Corian solid surface
Corian, without
a single seam.
- 01
Join
Two sheets are bonded with a colour-matched adhesive.
- 02
Sand
The joint is sanded flush until you can't find it.
- 03
Bend
Warmed, the sheet thermoforms into a curve. No corner joints.
- 04
Build
The curve becomes a reception desk, top and ends in the same material.
- 05
Light
Carved thinner and lit from behind, the front glows.
Colour · Snow white
Gap 40 mm
The surface is solid and non-porous, so a long counter or a curved desk reads as one piece. Heat it and it bends; sand it and light scratches come out.
Why it works
- Non-porous, so spills stay on the surface
- Joints bonded and sanded so they don't show
- Thermoformed into curves with heat
- Scratches can be sanded out
Sheets
6 mm or 12 mm.
From DuPont, Rehau, Staron, Tristone and Humax. Edges drawn at eight times their real thickness.
Corian art
Carved,
then lit.
Where the sheet is carved thinner, more light comes through, so a pattern cut into the surface glows when backlit. Mandirs, feature walls, name panels.

Questions
Good to know.
Can it take hot pans?
Not directly. Corian handles everyday warmth, but a hot pan set straight down, or prolonged direct heat, can mark or crack it, so use a trivet.
What if it gets scratched?
Light scratches can be fixed. The colour runs through the sheet, so scratches and dull patches can be sanded and polished out. Deeper marks need a repair visit.
Can it be made in curves?
Yes. The sheet is heated until it softens, bent over a mould and left to set. Curved desks, rounded corners and wave panels are made this way.
Does it stain or hold water?
No. It is non-porous, so spills sit on the surface and wipe off, which is why basins and bathroom counters are a common use. Clean up strong dyes and harsh chemicals promptly.
